The Pacific Umbro Soccer Camp & Academy program started way back in 1978 in Australia under the direction of Richard Alagich in response to the growing popularity of the world's favourite sport.

Today the program offers Soccer Camp and Academy locations Sydney wide.

Australian born director Richard Alagich is a professor of Physical Education and a qualified Specialist Soccer Coach from Zagreb University, Croatia. He has held Head Coach positions with youth teams at State and National levels and was technical director of Australia's first Soccer Apprenticeship Scheme and former Soccer NSW REP Program Director.

Richard has also been involved in the publication of the following books:

1. Soccer - Winning Through Technique and Tactics - By Richard Alagich.
2. Soccer - Winning Through Planning and Testing - By Richard Alagich.
3. So, You Want to Be A Coach - By Les Murray AM and Richard Alagich.
4. Soccer - Winning through goalkeeping - By Richard Alagich. Publication of this 250 page goalkeeping book is expected 2nd half of 2008.

These books specialise in youth development and are all FIFA endorsed worldwide.

Richard has been awarded the Australian sports medal from the Federal Government for his services to soccer.
